About Kev aka ‘Thames estuary man’.

Kev is an experienced Ramblers walk leader, insured tour guide and qualified first aider, who has worked on and around the Thames estuary for over forty years. He has been a baitdigger, angler and professional fisherman, spending a lot of time either afloat on the estuary or out on the mudflats and sandbanks when the tide is out. As you would expect he has vast and up to date knowledge of the terrain and the tides which is vital for group safety.
For the last ten years, Kev has enjoyed leading groups out to walk on and swim from the estuaries many sandbanks. He has the experience (and is aided by modern technology) to know what the tide and weather are doing at all times and to ensure everybody gets ashore safely at the end of the walk.
